Ideal friends are not always those who have the same interests

I have moved from one school to another. I have been in a situation where the people have a whole different standard from the circle that I was in previously. I do realized when I'm in a new environment, I'd more likely to compare it with the previous environment. And often I feel like the previous one is way better.

This happened to me when I got into year 7, when I moved to a new school. I thought everything was so strict. I felt like I was being watched every second, by either teachers or seniors. But then the memories turned out to be priceless and unforgettable. When I got to year 10, I went to a new school again. Everything was different, I felt free. All people are friendly and kind. But then again, I realized the standard was different. What I considered as disgusting in JHS seems to be a cool thing to do in my new school. I noticed that there are some people that would've been mocked and laughed at if they were in my JHS. But these people can fit in. Pretty cool; but still, it was kinda a shock to me at first.

But I turned out to love it very much. I learnt a lot of things in high school. Some teachers are not only smart, but inspirational. My best friends in high school, are all loyal (and so do my friends in JHS). They are there when I'm excited, when I'm angry, when I'm sad, when I'm hurt and when I'm helpless. They gave the most helpful advice and help. They all have dreams, and I now they put efforts to reach it. They're absolutely not the type of girls who talk about brands or other elite stuff. They're so simple and I like it that way, it makes me comfortable. They are smart, brave and sensitive girls. They understand how I feel, and they make efforts to put their positions in mine. They say sorry, please and thank you all the time. It might sound simple, but I didn't realize until now how annoying it is when someone doesnt say those three words.

The most important thing is they are all original, none of them is fake (I don't make generalization here, I'm talking about my best 8 girls in high school). Each of them is unique. And somehow these differences put us together. We sometimes have different thoughts/opinions. But then these girls appreciate one another's. That's what I like about them. And  I would take these different thoughts as lessons. So I learn a lot from them.

I cried last night; because I miss them so. I can't believe how amazing these girls are, and I can't believe I just realized it now. New things and difference that I'm facing in college life has opened my eyes that these girls are so valuable. They would understand me; what I like/dislike, and they'd respect it for me. Now I feel like there's something missing.

Friends who support me. Friends who told me to do good things and avoid the bad. Friends who eventhough have different views, but we have our goal and we fought to get it. We are all in one journey to a dream, but we go in different ways. Our goals are not mostly for money, not mostly to be rich and wasting money, not mostly to enter the best university. Our goals are to create things, to give things that would benefit people, to help, to inspire, to be creative, to be original, to share and to make the world a better place. At least, that's my goal. But I could tell those are my besties' too.

I miss you, Belinda, Zeta, Maureen, Jenisa, Keke, Cherryn, Stefanie and Kristina.

Melbourne Showgrounds

Last Monday, me and my friends decided to go to Melbourne Showgrounds. It wasn't really prepared, because at first we were planning to see a movie.

It turned out to be great, eventhough I did not dare to ride the rides, to be honest. So I just took some pictures and rode two rides. Haha. My friends spend time to play the games - just to get the dolls. I did not want to, because it's expensive and where would I put the dolls anyway?

It was so much fun - but was tiring as well.

Royal Botanical Garden

I went to Royal Botanical Garden several days ago with my class. In case you don't know, it is in Melbourne :) I should have posted this earlier, but I was so busy with homework.

It is actually a part of my current project of Principles and Elements, the project is Mapping. So we are instructed to take pictures of the garden, to draw, to record what we see, what we hear, what we touch and what we feel in the garden. Then, we are told to create a map of our own experience in the garden. So it is not a guide map, but actually a map of our interpretation of the garden. I'll probably post the picture of my map when I'm done :)

with some of my classmates

These are just some of the pictures that I took. Alright, wait for the final mapping! I'll post it here! :)

9

People say that high school is the best times of your life. For now I would say: yes it is, so far. It is the time when you transformed from a kid to an adult. It is the time when you started to learn the world. It is the time when you have serious goals in your life. The first time when you want to know a lot of people not for popularity reasons; but to actually learn about life, different perspectives and real friendship.

And yes, now I'm going to dedicate this post to my beloved 8 girls. My best girls in high school. Such awesome people they are, and they play a big role in my high school life.

I took some of the pictures from their facebook.
And this post gonna be a long one.

High School Graduation

I am finally graduated from Global Jaya International School. So I am officially an alumni now. Can't believe I've been in the school for 3 years. It feels like only 1 year for me. I still can remember things when I first got into the school. I feel like I'm still that newcomer. And now I'm leaving...

Anyway, the graduation was held in the New Theatre (yay!), which is a new building in GJIS. Unfortunately I didnt take a picture of the building. But it was really awesome. So the New Theatre is the place where performance will be held. It's a replacement of PAC. Yeah, the PAC was too small. I wish we had our year assembly in the New Theatre! But anyway, I'm so thankful that we had our graduation there! So awesome!

I don't mean to show off, but I got an award from the school. It is the Excellence in Indonesian A1 award. Alhamdulillah. Finally all the hard work paid off.

So here are some pictures that I took (plus the graduation dinner at Pepenero, Pondok Indah):

Senior Prom: Diamonds Are Forever

That's the name of our Senior Prom.

It was a great night that I had. Preparing for it was an adventure too; especially for the prom committees.  I just want to say thank you so much for all the committees, especially my best friend, Jenisa. They have spent a lot of their times to prepare for The Big Night.

I, myself did make some preparation. Yeah, the dress, the shoes, the hair, the makeups. Plus, me, Jenisa and Rio performed a song. It was Lady Gaga's Born This Way, click here to watch. And for a 'surprise', me and Jenisa performed the Beatles' Hey Jude for the principals!

The night was ended by the performance of Maliq & d'essentials. After the prom was over, some kids went to the after party, in SHY Rooftop Kemang. But I didn't go, I went home instead :)

So here are some of the pictures that I took:

Dear You,

You might be wondering why I wrote this for you. Don't ask me, because I am not sure what the reason is.

You might think I am no one and that I don't even know you. That's true, I admit that. Well yes, we met, we shook hands. But still, I don't know you.

Then you might want to ask, why do I keep you here for almost 2 years? Don't ask me. It's your fault, ask yourself. I did not do anything. And I don't want this to happen because I know you have someone. I know it's hopeless.

I don't know exactly what the reasons are. But maybe, the most obvious reason is that your face. Who in the world doesn't attracted to beautiful face? Your fair skin, your full and red lips, your cold eyes... That is the first thing that cause you to appear in my life. But again, for more than 1 year, we never met. Not until several months ago.

Some say that people will get bored easily with physical looks. To be honest, I agree with that. But if the one has more than just physical looks, we'll less likely to get bored easily. However, I think I am only looking at the physical looks. But I'm not bored, yet. I am trying to be, but I just can't.

So maybe it's something about the aura. Don't know why, I can spot you from a far away place. And I can sense you when you're near. Sounds creepy, but that's the truth.

Or maybe there's no reason after all.

But why you, why you dear kid? Why does it have to be you? To be honest, this is not what I want. I never like someone who has someone. This is not me. This is the first time that I like someone who's owned and whom I don't know about. You just make me likes you. See, it's your fault.

If only I could like someone else... Someone who give more hope... I've tried, you know. I've tried several times. I even tried to erase you from my mind. I deleted your Facebook. I gave up on the bbm thing. I was trying to avoid seeing you at school. I even lied to my friends that I don't like you anymore, in the hope so that it'll come true.

But it never happened. You always stay here.

I know I'm leaving soon. That is why I want you to go away. While my friends are trying to get to know theirs, I just want you to get out of my mind. Plus, I don't want to annoy yours. She's a good girl, you know.

Wow, I didn't plan to write this long.
