Hi, sorry for not updating for such a long time.
As the title suggests, yes, I am in Melbourne. I just got here 2 weeks ago. I was busy arranging my new apartment, buying stuff and the university thing. That's why I havent got the chance to update my blog.
So yeah, I really like being here. I know it's winter and it's reaaally cold here. Not as cold as the other cold places, but if you compare with Jakarta's weather, it is very cold. I like the environment. It is crowded (in the city) but it is peaceful at the same time. I don't know why. Maybe it's just because I'm in a new environment so I get
that effect.
It's easy to go anywhere here. Most of the time, I travel by tram or walk. There's a lot of pedestrians and it is very nice when you walk. And the city is designed to be like grids - so it is easier for me to remember the way to places.
I'm staying in a sharing apartment with my friend from GJIS, Elvira. She goes to Melbourne University whereas I go to RMIT. The apartment itself has a very good security and an excellent service (so far). The room is very clean and big enough for us.
I got a lot of friends in RMIT. My classmates are very nice. There are 3 that are from Indonesia. The others are from China, Korea, Sweden, Hong Kong and Taiwan. They're very friendly. And I really love being in the class. The teachers are really, really friendly. I cant describe how friendly they are.
The people in Melbourne are
mostly very friendly. I say this based on the shopkeepers, cashiers, teachers, etc. They always smile to us which make me feel very welcomed. It seems like they understand how we, the international students, want to be treated in a foreign country.

Anyway,
My family - parents and brothers - left Melbourne yesterday. They've been staying here for 2 weeks. I didn't accompany them to the airport because I had a class yesterday. So I decided to stay a night in my parents' temporary apartment yesterday.
Yes, I was very sad. In fact, I am still sad. I am really not usual to live in a house without at least one member of my family. And now I have to live without
any of them in a different city, different country, even in a different continent, separated by sea. But I have to cope with it, right?
Maybe this is the start of the real life. Learning how to live by yourself, away from your family. Learning how to manage your money. Learning how deal with problems without parents helping you. Learning how to survive. But I think, this is not the start. This is before the start. This is only the preparation for the real life.
